Outstanding commitment to employees – Leonardo Hotels receives a Hospitality HR Public Award
Hotel group shows a highly impressive development on the kununu employer review platform
Berlin, 19. November 2024. Leonardo Hotels has been rewarded for its impressive presence and activity on kununu, the leading employer ratings platform in the German-speaking world. More reviews, an improved score and a higher recommendation rate have led to recognition in the form of a Hospitality HR Public Award. The prize ceremony took place during the Hospitality HR Summit staged by the German Hotel Academy (DHA). The Hospitality HR Public Awards are conferred annually and are organised by the DHA in conjunction with the German Hotel Association (IHA) and kununu itself. The hotel group was praised for proactive communications and for its close networking with employees and applicants.
“kununu is of strategic importance to us,” stated Anke Maas, Human Resources Director Central Europe. “We analyse which hotels get good feedback. By the same token, we also look at feedback that is less good. We use these findings to instigate any necessary measures. It ultimately comes down to one simple formula. Satisfied employees equal satisfied guests. This award confirms that we are on the right road. It also constitutes external recognition that employee satisfaction is a key corporate goal.”
Hotel chains were shortlisted for the Public Award on the basis of number of reviews generated, development of their kununu score and active comments posted. Leonardo Hotels shone across all these areas and went on to secure first place. The hotel group has accumulated around 230 new reviews on kununu over the past 12 months alone and now has a total of 616 on the site. Its kununu score climbed in particularly impressive fashion over the same period, from 3.0 to 3.4. There was also a rise in the Leonardo Hotels recommendation rate from 60 percent to 79 percent. This shows the success that staff motivation and loyalty can bring and also reflects the high level of satisfaction experienced by employees. Despite its multitude of hotels and employees and the dynamic growth it is currently undergoing, the company is able to exhibit genuine proximity to its staff on kununu.
“The reviews on kununu provide us with an authentic insight into the Leonardo Family and into the diversity of our hotels,” added Annika Kalthoff, Manager of Employer Branding & HR Marketing. “This allows us to identify problem areas in a timely way and to implement targeted improvements. Active responses to feedback and dialogue with our staff are vehicles for the creation of a culture of open networking. This is of benefit both to us and to the employees.”
