An establishment steeped in tradition will begin to receive guests once more starting 1 July onwards – official Grand Opening scheduled for the autumn

Berlin, 1 July 2026. A piece of hotel history is set to return. The Badischer Hof in Baden-Baden will reopen for business today and start to welcome guests again. The hotel, which is able to look back on a rich tradition, will commence operations under the Leonardo Hotels name as part of the Leonardo Limited Edition brand, a carefully curated collection of individual hotels characterised by their history and character and by their link to the respective destination.

The Badischer Hof is one of the most historic accommodation options in Baden-Baden and is closely linked with the development of the famous spa town. It boasts a long history and encapsulates the relationship between hospitality, spa architecture and tradition which has marked out Baden-Baden as a world destination.

Leonardo Hotels is now continuing to write this back-story by reopening the hotel and by uniting the identity of the Badischer Hof with the experience and quality standards of an international hotel group.   The hotel will retain both its established name and its independent status.

Operations will initially get underway as part of a soft opening to launch on July 1. An official Grand Opening ceremony has been planned for autumn 2026.

“The Badischer Hof is a hotel with an extraordinary history which is also of huge significance to Baden-Baden,” said Thomas Feig, the General Manager. “We are delighted to be reopening this highly traditional location and are very much looking forward to receiving our first guests. The chance to breathe new life into this unique place and to carry on the hotel’s history acts as a great motivation for our entire team. Our aim is to preserve the character and identity of the hotel whilst also creating a contemporary guest experience.”
